Having children at home, often when people are trying to work themselves, adds another layer of stress. It is therefore important to not only consider our physical health during such challenging times, but also to pay attention to our mental health. Southwark Emergency Support Scheme (SESS) can help you if you’re a Southwark resident who’s facing a crisis, emergency or disaster and needs help.
We’re making temporary changes to the scheme so those affected by COVID-19 (coronavirus) can get urgent support.
If you’ve had a sudden loss or reduction to your income and can’t meet your household’s basic needs you can now apply for support – for example:
It was announced by the Secretary of State that there would be a universal food voucher scheme for families of children who receive free school meals. As of yet, there have been no further details of this. At Keyworth, we know that it is an extremely worrying time for our families so we want to help where we can. If you have an immediate need of support to provide food for your family during the next week, please call the school office and / or email email@example.com (include your name, and your child’s name and class in your message). A member of Keyworth staff will then contact you. As soon as we know any further information about the universal food voucher scheme, we will of course share details with our families.
Below are the details of agencies you can contact if you are concerned about providing food for your family throughout the closure of Keyworth. If you do need to contact one of the agencies below and your child receives free school meals, please share this information with them:
