Autumn Term 1

This term we are learning about Ancient Greece. In our English lessons, we are reading lots of different Greek myths and have the opportunity to retell the famous Greek myth, Theseus and the Minotaur. We look forward to sharing our work with you soon!


ANCIENT GREECE This half term, year 6 have been learning about Ancient Greece and have looked at how the ancient greeks lived, as well as their gods and goddesses, different historical events (Battle of Marathon) and the different geographical features of Greece.

The children made a 3D map of the physical features of the Greek coastline to understand better how these affected the outcome of the battle of Marathon:

In English, Year 6 had the chance to write their very own Greek Myths.




Not everything has been hard work, we also had time to taste these delicious Greek delicacies!



In science, we have been looking at how electricity works and have carried out different experiments.



and of course, we love reading in year 6. This is where we spend our free time reading, whenever possible.
