A Trip to the London Eye

This half term the children have been learning about London and all its interesting quirks. To culminate our learning, we went to the London Eye. The class had a fabulous time.

A Trip to Southwark Cathedral

Yesterday Year 5 went to Southwark Cathedral to undergo a workshop about Victorian Britain. Some the highlights included learning about the hygiene (or lack thereof) as well as experiencing what school life was like for a child living during the Victorian era.

The Victorians

This half term the children will be learning about the Victorians and the contributions made towards Britain. We will we cover several topics including: working conditions; the industrial revolution, everyday life and the British Empire. Watch this space to see what exciting things we learn.

Romulus and Remus

The half term year 5 have been learning about the Romans and have looked at the story of Romulus and Remus – a story which details the how the city of Rome came to get its name.

The children wrote a short summery of the story for their independent writes. Have a look at two good examples from the class:

Landscape Art

Have a look at our wonderful pieces of art we have made with the help of Moynul. These are landscape images inspired by different scenes from Paris and London.

Some lucky parents and carers will get a chance to purchase these during our exhibition which is taking part later this half term.

Samba Drumming

We are excited to start our Samba drumming sessions and learn all about the Brazilian beats and rhythm.
