This half term the children have been learning about London and all its interesting quirks. To culminate our learning, we went to the London Eye. The class had a fabulous time.
Yesterday Year 5 went to Southwark Cathedral to undergo a workshop about Victorian Britain. Some the highlights included learning about the hygiene (or lack thereof) as well as experiencing what school life was like for a child living during the Victorian era.
This half term the children will be learning about the Victorians and the contributions made towards Britain. We will we cover several topics including: working conditions; the industrial revolution, everyday life and the British Empire. Watch this space to see what exciting things we learn.
The half term year 5 have been learning about the Romans and have looked at the story of Romulus and Remus – a story which details the how the city of Rome came to get its name.

We are excited to start our Samba drumming sessions and learn all about the Brazilian beats and rhythm.
