This term, we have been reading and writing about Krindlekrax. At the end of the term will be writing our very own newspaper report, based on a Lizard-like creature breaking into our school. We will be learning how to use alliteration and rhyming words to create a catchy headline and also be looking at using speech marks to quote a witness. Please read lots of newspapers to help with this!

This half term, in maths, our main focus will be fractions and decimals. The children have been using place value counters to represent decimals. Children have been multiplying decimals by 10 and 100. In fractions, the children have been finding many different ways to represent an equivalent fractions e.g. 50/100 = 1/2.
In Topic this half term, Year 4 have been learning about The Environment. We have been using maps and atlases to locate countries and describe features. Also, we have been looking at the different climates and biomes.
In PE, this term, we have been practising different jumps & balances in our gymnastics lessons.
