Our topic this half term is Egypt. We have started reading There’s a Pharaoh in our Bath by Jeremy Strong. It’s a funny book that follows the antics of a family who accidently discover a mummified pharaoh (Sennapod) after he’s been awoken from his 4000 year old sleep! There will plenty of opportunities for the children to get engrossed with all things Egyptian.
Stay tuned to see the work the children produce.
This half term we will be learning about forces and magnets. This kids will be discovering how magnets are used and how forces like friction affect our daily lives. Despite the restrictions, we are still trying to make science as practical as possible.
The children have started the new learning year by getting to grips with place value, which is fundamental to understanding numbers and will also be looking at addition and subtraction.
History, geography and art will provide children with the opportunity to better understand the ancient Egyptian civilisation.
